Remember: All notes MUST be in Cornell format! See template on left or Ms. Simon if you have any questions.

Lecture Focus Questions
The point of LFQ's is to show that you understand the main ideas presented in the lecture. Each response should consist of 3-4 well thought out and complete sentences. DO use your own words to express ideas. Do NOT simply recopy various pieces of information straight out of your notes. Do NOT restate the question in your response. Do NOT add unnecessary fluff in order to meet the 3-4 sentence minimum. Do NOT repeat your first sentence with different wording in the 2nd and 3rd sentence simply to meet the 3 sentence minimum (see example at right). This serves absolutely no purpose. If you get stuck, reread what you wrote and ask yourself "how" and "why." This should help you expand your response. If all else fails, seek help from Ms. Simon!
